Kaleo Phillips brings a new refreshing sound from his island home of Maui and wakes your heart up with a smile. Kaleo has performed professionally for many years, playing with a variety of Hawaiian artists and touring with bands across the globe. Now he releases his first solo album, E Mama, dedicated to his mother. The theme of the album is centered around Kaleo’s ‘ohana, past, present and future and the unwavering strength that has held it together throughout time.
E Mama features eight original compositions by Kaleo. As the theme of the album suggests, many of these original compositions are dedicated to the people in his life. The title track was written for Kaleo’s mother, while the song “Pakalana” is a tribute to his wife.
