About The Artist
I grew up in the Northwest on Puget Sound in the fifties and sixties. I did art and played music from early childhood. When I saw the movie, Jason and the Argonauts; I was amazed when Ray Harryhausen’s bronze sculpture, Talos, came to life. I knew that whatever that was…I wanted to do it and began to seek out bronze sculpture at the library.
I sculpted my first piece from stone at 10. During the late sixties I took off exploring from San Francisco to Florida and allpoints in between. Starting a family in my twenties in the Santa Cruz Mountains, I used my art to support my familythrough creating my own business as well as doing commissions. After living in Mexico for the last 6 years focusing on teaching and service, my wife and I were guided to come to Maui. Finding and becoming part of a wonderful community in Haiku in the opulent and lush natural beauty of Maui has been a great inspiration and joy.
I am grateful to be able to make these affordable wall sculptures which I call “wall jewelry” available for those who appreciate beauty in art. I will also consider private commissions of any size and material from gold jewelry to bronze architectural pieces.
