The new year brings with it a fresh start! To kick off this season of personal growth, Spa Helani, a Heavenly Spa by Westin™ at The Westin Kā‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas has announced a new treatment, the Ho‘ōla (Revive) Ritual. It provides its guests with a complete sensory experience. From the inside out, it offers the healing revitalization guests desire to make 2017 the best year yet.
This experience starts with the cleansing of the treatment room using a Ti leaf, which is symbolic in the Hawaiian culture for clearing a space. This detoxifying treatment continues with a noni sea clay mask and a relaxing scalp massage. A balancing Lomi Lomi body massage then invites tense muscles to ease. The Ho‘ōla Ritual concludes with a cup of mamaki tea, which is celebrated in old Hawai‘i for its restorative purposes.
“We have a kuleana (responsibility) to provide our guests with not only relaxing spa treatments, but also a connection to the history and culture of the islands,” said Heather Reck, the resort’s spa manager. “Under the guidance of our cultural department, the Ho‘ōla Ritual incorporates deep-rooted meaning into a soothing experience.”
