The MACC presents NāPalapai Nā Palapalai: BACK to the PATCH FREE! Music and Hula Celebration 7:00 pm, Friday June 21, 2019 A&B Amphitheater / Yokouchi Pavilion gates open 6 pm Celebrating Hawaiian music and their reunion, the trio Nā Palapalai returns to the MACC for a FREE music and hula celebration! To help celebrate this reunion, seven of Maui’s hālau will dance with the group and perform together under the stars. Participating hālau include: Kumu Hula Keali’i Reichel & Hālau Kealaokamaile Kumu Hula Nāpua Greig & Hālau Nā Lei Kaumaka O Uka Kumu Hula Kahulu Maluo-Pearson & Hālau Kamaluokaleihulu Nā Kumu Hula Iliahi and Haunani Paredes & Hālau Kekuaokala’au’ala’iliahi Kumu Hula Kamaka Kukona & Hālau O Ka Hanu Lehua Nā Kumu Hula Kapono’ai Moliatu and Sissy Lake Farm & Hālau Nā Hanona Kulike O Pi’ilani Kumu Hula Hōkūlani Holt & Pā’ū O Hi’iaka Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back beach chairs* to relax on the lawn in an informal local-style, family-friendly atmosphere. Chair seating will be available for kupuna so that all generations can enjoy the evening.

All are welcome to attend this big celebration of Hawaiian music and hula with Nā Palapalai and their friends! Food and beverages will be available for purchase – including food trucks serving up a variety of tasty meals and desserts.* Band merchandise will be available including CDs, shirts, Ni’ihau earrings & jewelry.
