NEW DINING EXPERIENCE AT PULEHU, AN ITALIAN GRILL, INVITES COUPLES TO ‘TASTE THE STARS’ WITH SPECIAL HOURS ON VALENTINE’S DAY
Kaanapali, Hawaii – Pulehu, an Italian Grill, the signature restaurant at The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas, recently announced the launch of Taste the Stars, its newest dining experience for two. Pulehu, an Italian Grill, on Wednesday, Feb. 14 in celebration of Valentine’s Day and the launch of Taste the Stars. This intimate five-course dining experience features a tranquil garden setting within the lush resort grounds and a champagne toast of vintage Dom Perignon. A second 3-course prix fixe Valentine’s Dinner option will also be available in the main dining room.
Taste the Stars is held in an intimate outdoor dining area, next to the koi pond garden fronting Pulehu, an Italian Grill. This exclusive setting is reserved for a limited number of diners each evening. An exquisite five-course prix fixe menu prepared by Chef de Cuisine Jesse Pita will be served, accompanied by an exceptionally curated assortment of fine wine pairings. At sunset, each guest will enjoy a champagne toast with a flute of vintage Dom Perignon.
“It is said that when French monk Dom Perignon first discovered champagne, he cried out ‘Come quickly, I’m tasting the stars,’” explained Jim Hansen, restaurant manager at Pūlehu, an Italian Grill. “This unique experience honors the iconic taste of Dom Perignon and matches it with a gorgeous, romantic setting and the authentic Italian flavors Pulehu is known for.”
Pulehu, an Italian Grill, is proud to serve fresh island ingredients with authentic Italian preparations. Taste the Stars will feature selections such as caprese with an array of local tomato varieties, fresh burrata cheese, white balsamic vinegar and basil oil; pan-fried gnocchi Genovese; and porcini-dusted ribeye with seasonal Maui vegetable and mushroom risotto. Chef Jesse Pita’s decadent gluten-free chocolate olive oil cake will be served with a duo of Amarena cherry and marshmallow gelatos.
Pulehu, an Italian Grill is located at The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas. Regular hours are Thursday through Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.. Pūlehu will be open on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday, Feb. 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Taste the Stars dining experience is available for reservations now.
