Makai Glass Maui features unique blown glass art sculptures inspired by the sea and volcanic formations of the Hawaiian Islands. Artists Justin Brown and Randy Schaffer, co-create daily along side their team of world class glassblowers. Each glass piece is created with the “Spirit of Aloha”, infusing the love of the islands into pieces that you will want to proudly display in your home. Each hand-sculpted glass piece carries its own unique, magical quality that illuminates with Aloha wherever showcased. Makai Glass Maui also brings you the finest exotic wood LED bases, created from beautiful local hardwoods. These bases illuminate the glass pieces from below, offering an exquisite show of light and color, day or night.

Our name “MAKAI” is Hawaiian for “ocean side”. It’s symbolic to the Artists because of their attraction to Maui and their adoration of its mystical sea life and wave formations.

Many of the pieces that are created are direct reflections of the flora and fauna for the island as well as Hawaiian culture.

The next visit you make to Maui, be sure to include an afternoon at the new Studio and Gallery! We are located among the pineapple fields in beautiful Haliimaile, Upcountry Maui, directly across the street from Bev Gannon’s award-winning Hali’imaile General Store Restaurant.

Watch them turn 2200F molten glass into sculptures of waves, dolphins, whales, sea shells, Lava Vases and Maui Storms right before your eyes.
